This idea of focusing on one strengths instead of the weaknesses is very important. This is one of the first things I told my son in elementary school:

The school systems purpose is to bring the majority up to par, and to build the strengths that conform to their needs and goals. Your job is to find your strengths, the things your best at, and the things you love to do. If you can combine these two, passion and ability, you will always be successful and happy. Dont overwork and overstress on your weaknesses to the point where you fail to find and follow your true self. The goal of school and growing should be to find yourself and to learn the skills necessary to be the best you can be in the areas you love and have the greatest aptitudes in.

Wow! It all make sense! I have connected to what you are conveying – instiltaneously! Ka Boomb!!!! In such a profound way!!! I have listened to allot of stuff – but this – does so gel! JUST DO IT! – YEAH! :) Discipline – get it together! Discipline – is actually what makes me feel good – drifting does not – drifting is – Yucky and pointless – it leaves you in a sea of nothingless, which is uninspiring, I know I am in my element when I am focused and disciplined – it’s what make me feel good! It gets you from point A to B, and if you are lucky – to point Z – the ZEN – Ahhhh, I get it! Thank you, Thank you, you shone the light on my life!

Excellent information. Being conciously aware that you are just doing it already allows one to take one more step.

  7. Greetings again David, if i may as a working Christian i would like to type the following, 2 scriptures come to mind about ” Not using what one has been given” 1. is in Matthew 25:24-27 about the parable of the talents and in Luke 12:47-48 last part of 48 reads “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded, and from the on who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

The only way to discipline yourself is to have a purpose of what you are living for, daily grinds dont count, find a way to inspire those and in return you will also be inspired or (Refreshed):)

Relationships is the Key to anything in this world.

God_bless you David and your quest ,

thank you for letting me to partake.

    Best Regards –
Thomas the worst surfer on the planet.

I have the discipline to do the raw thing, it’s other areas in my life that i lack discipline/ confidence…

i’m finding it hard to write a dissertation. lost interest perhaps. i am finding myself living in the blissful raw moment and unmotivated for tomorrow.

    • Rose, like you years ago I had trouble completing my dissertation. So I asked my adult niece to serve as an encourager, a coach, someone to whom I could report weekly and feel accountability. I instructed her avoid being an enforcer or judge about my progress, simply be a witness and fan club member. This worked well and resulted in my receiving my doctorate in 1991.

Even if you lost interest in your current topic/work, make a decision (followed by action) to continue and complete it. It’s not so important what the dissertation was; rather it’s essential to finish this task as an example of what you are capable of doing.

If there is no one in your immediate circle of friends who would serve in this capacity, I’m available.

      Best wishes.

Every day is a new day. We can always start over. I totally agree with you and appreciate you sharing this. Discipline takes action. Action is a choice. Do it or don’t. We can sit on our arses or we can take action!

  13. Hey david I am a big fan of the work that you have done and are doing in the field of Nutrition and Raw Food Science. I am a college student in jacksonville florida and have been interested in Nutrition/Health and especially the power of raw food for 3-4 years now and am excited for the release of the longevity now program, unfortunately my mom was recently diagnosed with anal cancer and is considering radiation/chemo I know that it may not be the best route for her and in an effort to get her into Raw food I wanted to order and ship the program straight to her. I know that she could get into it if she had this great information. She lives in sarasota florida and over the last month since we found out about the cancer I have been back and forth a lot helping her with transitioning into raw, now she drinks a superfood smoothie every morning and takes medicinal mushrooms, but I want her to have an organized plan to get her on the path to recovery. Sorry I wrote so much, really the main thing I am trying to say is I want her to be exposed to this info ASAP… do you have any idea when this program will be available again. thank you so much, and keep having the best day ever._Benjamin.

    • Hey, Benjamin. I applaud your enthusiasm and concern (love) for your Mom’s condition. May I make a suggestion? Look into restructured, ionized water that is high in anti-oxidants. Cancer requires an acid environment and lack of oxygen to flourish. One of the quickest ways I know to achieve this within the body is by drinking restructured, ionized water. Best wishes and I’ll put her in my prayers.
