    great video..i like how simple you explain these concepts..i know i have half rotten baby bok choy and snow pea pods that need to be weeded through and made into something NOW..i wonder how many people out there are so disciplined that they have ALWAYS used every vegetable they have ever gotten..i bet i would if i was in the SUDAN one leaf and a bottle of clean water would be a blessing… look forward to your next video!!!

    Yes thank you so much…I feel I have already gained a lot of discipline regarding what I eat however there is always room for improvement. I may just have to get a blender because the juicer often stays in the cupboard. I will apply the “do it! do it! wisdom to my art…my painting everyday discipline or lack of, in my case. Such inspirational info, including writing down what I spend my money on…David you have knocked down a few coconuts for me in regards to my intentions and ambitions with this single talk….thanks again.

  16. hey dave nice honest video,
    used to use that mantra when i worked in restaraunts or else i would put off stuff and miss important orders and requirements from the guests.
    I noticed that when i started eating raw, i did nt have to RESORT to will power anywhere near as much as i used to. getting up early, studying, working out, work itself and when i actually had to use my will power i was surprised when it showed up like an ol friend.
    i am waiting to get to the next level….consistency!

    Great reminders here…like ‘Do it now’. I like how you support your listeners by reminding them that they (we) alread HAVE discipline and that, yes, we can apply that further.

    The only part I strongly disagree with is the preparation of food. This is an area where I advocate full concentration of our thoughts/energies into the food we consume and prepare for others. This energy becomes part of our food which is why one should never prepare food whilst experiencing negative energy (anger).

    No matter how quick, simple, envolved/complicated it is, food preparation can be relaxing/theraputic too. Talking on the phone and bouncing on a rebounder whilst preparing food means you are essentially disengaged from what you are doing…hence the food is valuable only for the nutrition in it = it was prepared rather automatically/impassionately.

    Food and food preparation is love, for yourself and/or others. It deserves to be prepared with attention. Afteral, it is what fuels us.

    (Try sampling whilst blindfolded, machine made bread and home made with love-human hands/muscle power bread – you will FEEL the difference.)

My world was full of excuses when I started to move gradually from vegetarianism into raw food…but with discipline and your inspiring videos it became easier and easier…It is fascinating to watch your videos..your spirit soars!!!

    Great talk. 35-40 years ago, Sister Mary Joseph would ask the class what the most important thing was. The correct response was “Freedom with responsibility and self-discipline.” Don’t remember much else she said, but that phrase has always stayed with me. I didn’t get what she meant until I was around 25:)

    I’m going to use the notebook idea. and I love the coconut/stone phrase. I will be using it also.

    I like you David Wolfe. But when I first saw your video, I was so distracted by your hair do, I had to listen again to pay attention to your message. Then you go and make a video with Frank Kern who plainly states that you’re both “strange looking dudes”…. well I just about lost it laughing then. Cause I was always distracted by Frank’s hair also… (like how does he get those highlighted stripes etc?) So seeing the two of you together made me “discipline” myself to actually listen to your words. So I gotta ask you because I’m an off-the-wall silly kinda person — is your doo wild crafted or salon coifed? Maybe eating all those ava-cod-doz has something to do with it? I really enjoy your schtuff. I liked the thought you gave me how we actually change who we are by changing what we eat. See, I paid attention. I’m gonna go find me a coconut. Then brush my teeth with it.

I am diabetic and I am trying very hard to be disciplined with my exercise and only eating healthy foods. I am now going to start with knocking two coconuts with one stone to start with.
