Thank you for the kind words Marilyn. I got so carried away I forgot to mention about the belly fat thing, it’s really about the intestinal thing. The stomach sits higher than the intestines, good old gravity. To qualify what follows…
I feel I have a really good doctor as she has a biological degree as well as a medical degree, because in her words, “After I opened my practice, I discovered I couldn’t help anyone.”
So here’s the news flash! if you didn’t feel the previous quote was one…She says everyone needs probiotics (or maybe just everyone who must see the doctor often) because we can not digest the foods we consume so we are not getting the nutriants needed to fuel us. There are many reasons for this so try probiotics a month and see if you belly becomes less bloated, it can’t hurt.
And yes, making dinner a lighter veggie meal would generally be helpful. Eat the big protein meal early in the day and learn about what foods to combine if you have digestive problems.
As blood type A, my stomach acid is very low so I need all the help I can get, the good news is, I can enjoy a cup of coffee or bit of chocolate OCCASIONALLY, taken 1.5 hours after a meal, either will assist in my digestion.
Now I make DW’s super creamer and am fueled 4 hours on it in a cup of coffee with no hunger or adrenal fatigue. The creamer is great with gogi berry tea too, like a chocolate cherry cordial…yumm
Also, moderation in everything has been my mantra however it recently occured to me, the more I have, the more I have to share!
Thanks for reading and sharing!

I have read enough now to realise that David’s site whilst initially being benevolent in intent, is now just another sales pitch one that advocates a healthy body but in doing so, with the drip, drip, drip of ‘new’ ways of solving this, that etc, it is proving hazardous for my mind. Each ‘new’ whatever, is identifying or establishing in one’s mind – a new sense of fear that we are not doing things right. I won’t allow any more of my valuable time to be spent scrolling down pages to get the latest this, that or the other. the truth is we have existed for a very long time on this planet, we have evolved physically and mentally. There can be NO TRULY organically grown anything, nothing is pure – because the air on our planet has recycyled itself for eons of time. The rain that waters these plants is recycled, ther is no virgin soil – there is no purity in anything. Even the pueifiers leave their trace. As one realises that all of these experts eventually lead in an ever decresaing spiral, one has a choice – a simple one. Listen to the inner guidance that wishes the best for you. I have listened to mine and shall unsubscribe to this site. I long for the day when a truly altruistic person shares their knowlege with humanity – freely – out of love for humanity. This should be the way we function – one cell sending messages to all other cells that together, form the collective whole. Instead, each of these experts defines a new programme – the ultimate definitive programme, only to release a missing part later down the line. The only missing part in our wisdom – is within us – listen to this guidance and act on it. Blessings and health to you all.

Very important information here, thank you! I read the comments before listening to the interview. As editor of LILIPOH magazine, I didn’t feel this segment was contradictory to David’s other work, and I also felt like it was not an aggressive sell.
There are many doctors writing about the unacknowledged role that balanced insulin plays in our health. The Weston A Price Foundation (although known for their advocacy of healthy animal fats, raw milk and even meat, Sally Fallon does recommend a minimum 50% raw diet) has been writing about the connection between refined carbs/sugars and heart disease for ten years. Glad to see it finally surfacing into the mainstream.

Lots of interesting comments about various diets. I’m replying after reading them a few days ago, but hopefully I remember the gist of them.
Somebody mentioned gaining weight on a vegan diet. That seems unusual. From “The Food Revolution” by John Robins:
“Obesity rate among the general U.S. population: 18 percent
Obesity rate among vegetarians: 6 percent
Obesity rate among vegans: 2 percent”
Regarding the Atkins and South Beach Diets, even though they might work for some people they don’t seem to do so well in medical studies. From “Healthy at 100″, also by Robbins, on the results of a comparison of the Ornish, Weight Watchers, The Zone, and the Atkins diets published in The Journal of the American Medical Association: “At the one-year mark, those following the Ornish diet had the greatest weight loss, while those following Atkins had the least weight loss.” And regarding a high meat diet for insulin reduction: “Of the four diets, Ornish’s was the only one to lower insulin significantly, even though that’s what the Atkins and Zone diets are designed to do.” (The Ornish diet is a low-fat, plant-based diet with very little animal products, and also limits processed foods.)
Regarding TB and drinking milk, isn’t the reason milk is now pasteurized is to prevent milk born diseases such as TB? But many people say pasteurized milk is dangerous – I read in “The Raw Food Bible” that calves fed pasteurized milk instead of raw milk die.
“Raw Power” says if you want to gain weight eat fewer, larger meals later in the day. If you want to loose weight the “graze” throughout the day.
Regarding the Paleo and similar diets, according to Robbins the chimpanzee is our closest living relative, more closely related than horses are to donkeys, and chimps have large canine teeth. “Dr. Jane Goodall…says chimpanzees often go months without eating any meat whatsoever. Indeed, she says, “The total amount of meat consumed by a chimpanzee during a given year will represent only a very small percentage of the overall diet.”" So if chimps are designed to eat more meat than us, yet they eat very little, what is the optimum amount for us?
I can understand David wanting to interview Jorge to provide us with a differing view point, but why does he go out of his way to support the guy that said, if I remember correctly, that we can eat unlimited amounts of meat and fat?
For me I try to follow what is proven by the Hunza and Vilcabamba people, that a diet very low in animal products (about 1% of calories) results in a long, healthy life. And the basic premise of the raw fooders that since all other (wild) animals eat 100% raw we should too makes sense to me. I’m trying to shift my diet in that direction.
I hope everyone finds a way to be healthy and happy,
John

Hi,
I am a 45 year old woman living in Cabo. I have lived in Mexico for over 20 years, surf, do yoga, and live an overall healthy lifestyle. I retired recently from my own event company, and am shifting to a full time life on a small farm doing permaculture and focusing on wellness in the new paradigm. My body has come full circle the last months to more toned and strong, and I am working out wiht a circuit training program. my problem I would like help iwth is firming up my skin overall. I am 5′5″ and weigh 115-120 and during this phase of shaping up lost about 20 pounds. How can I get my skin tone back and especially with face. i have been told dry brushing which makes sense to me, but can and should I do that vigorously on my face? and the other is that running/cardio will awaken small nerves in my skin from the stimulation of the ‘jiggle’ and things will start firming up! any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

It seems to me David Wolfe is spending a lot of time promoting people and products lately. Not sure this was his initial intention. He could use some of his time and knowledge in humanitarian projects instead. Hope he realizes it before it’s too late. I would like to to continue respecting and admiring him.

I do find the volume of e-mails from David rather overwhelming, however, we can pick and choose what we want or don’t want from them. I have found some of the information fascinating and I’m very grateful for it. I’ll never get around to listening to evrything however, I suspect.

My honest suggestion is that let’s have all product components in one basket. To be specific, I mean grounding technology, superfoods and herbs and the wonderful community of THE BEST DAY EVER in one membeship site. In that manner there will be less confusion for everyone, a lot of valuable time will be saved, and a price for membership will then be charged corresponding to the products and services being offered. If the charge is recurring monthly, for instance, then month 1 will correspond to limited benefits, then further benefits will gradually be added as the number of monthly membership increases. In my opinion, this approach is more scientific, more objective and it will prevent charges from going through the roof for most us.
Thank you.

I wish this guy could just stick to the point. He keeps starting a sentance and then not finishing it. It is so annoying. I’m still waiting for him to finish telling us what insulin was designed to do which he started to tell us about 10 minutes ago but has now totally side tracked himself. Very frustrating.

HEAR, HEAR!!! I can get down with that! I don’t need to hear a lot of name dropping and hoo-ha. I want the facts. I don’t want an overly touchy feely online community, I am just a nice human who is just looking for healthier options for my life. I also don’t need to spend exorbitant prices on programs full of fluff so someone else can stuff my money in their pockets. I just want to know how to eat better and live well. It can get very confusing! This is information that should be shared openly and not bought at a high price.
